Great site. Happy new year.
My grandparents came from Curlough, McGrane, Callaghan and across the river Gormley.
Would love to know more about the family, but would enjoy photos of the local churches and places one could glean some information.
Thank-you again for having this site.

What a fantastic website you have put together! Just sitting here with my mum and talking about where she was born there in 'Caledon' but sadly uprooted from her place of birth at the age of 3 to move over here to Glasgow with her mum, brother and 2 sisters.

Anyway we're trying to piece together any history we can find on her family. Her grandfather was a 'Boot Maker' Mr William McKenna married to Elizabeth McKenna and lived at house number 7 in Millberry (Caledon, Tyrone). Census circa 1911.

Would love to be in contact with Ann Mercer Allen. I am descended from James Mercer b1831 who emigrated to the New York and later New Hampshire, guessing about 1851-52. Two of his brothers are also emigrated, Robert b 1832 and Henry b 1835.

Found an old post on Ancestry.com listing Ann's ancestors John Mercer b1793 and Ann Campbell b1801. Ann said she had the names of 8 children. Do you know if any of them emigrated? I believe that there were at least two Mercer lines in the 1830's if we are not from Mercer/Campbell line, do you know information on the other line?

Am also interested in the post from Harper in Florida as some of our Mercers moved to Florida.

I am going to try to contact each of you through Jason, but just in case, please try to reply.
Thanks,

Hi - I am coming to caledon tomorrow for a fact finding mission - to find the graves of my great grandparents and see if there are any remaining relatives - no matter how distant. My grandma was born in caledon - one of 12/13 and her family name was noble - does anyone remember the name? She had sisters called Patsy, una, Sheila, Chrissy, Pauline, Josie, madelaine and Catherine (I think), brothers Charlie, Peter, Jim and mervyn. Does anyone know if you can get access to parish records?
