Web site about the historic plantation village of Caledon in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland

Situated in the south east of Tyrone in the Parish of Aughaloo and on the border of both Counties Armagh and Monaghan, Caledon (formerly known as Kinnaird and Callidon) is a designated conservation area and is located in the Clogher Valley and on the banks of the Blackwater river.

It is home to the Earl of Caledon (Lord Caledon) and the Alexander family as well as previously being home to Sir Pheilim (Feilim) O'Neill, the leader of the Irish Rising (also known as the Great Rebellion) in Ireland in 1641, and John Foster McCreight, the first Premier of British Columbia.
